Join us early on Thursday morning to search for migrant warblers and other songbirds along the north shore of Lake Chauncy.

The fields behind Worcester Airport can host Eastern Meadowlark, and warblers find the shrubby edges attractive. We will proceed to Sylvester Street and walk the shady trail looking for woodland species.

The mature trees in Worcester's historic cemeteries are irresistible to birds. We will visit Notre Dame, Mt. Hope, and All Faiths.

Spring migration is at its peak! Don’t miss our last early-morning hike on the north side of Lake Chauncy.

We will walk about 2 miles on the old farm roads looking for birds of the fields and woodlands.

This former military installation boasts diverse habitats and easy walking. Bring insect repellent and prepare for a lot of walking.

This property is managed by Mass Wildlife to encourage habitats supportive of grassland species such as Grasshopper Sparrow, Vesper Sparrow, and American Kestrel. We will walk along a level trail and listen at dusk for the unmistakable calls of American Woodcocks and Eastern Whip-poor-wills RAIN DATE Friday May 20

We will hike to Dean Pond while searching for late migrants and woodland breeders. Please be prepared to hike uneven ground on the forest trails.

We will bird the fields from the parking area to Route 62, hike Brigham Road over the Ware River |West Branch crossing, and return along the river via Tracy Lane to the parking area (~2.5-mile loop). Restrooms are available at Barre Falls Picnic Area

Explore Rauscher Farm's beautiful property! Clamshell Pond, meadows, marsh, and forest attract migrants passing through and an abundance of our native breeding birds. Please wear footwear appropriate for hiking over rocks and a couple of wet areas. There is a restroom on the property.
